| that quilceda price is well below the secondary market. zachys gets alot of their wines from the private market. i have a feeling alot of privately held wines are beginning to be dumped. | | | |

| Quilceda Creek is not sold exclusively through a mailing list. Retailers can obtain through distributors in major markets. | | | |

| True - I saw some bottles of the '99 at Wine Library for $80 or so (discountable with a case purchase too)!
(This was months ago and they're long gone....so don't get your hopes up NJ folk!)

| ojeffso, why do you think private folks and dumping their stuff on the market? Trying to raise cash due to unemployment etc? | | | www.roguefood.com -- www.cellartracker.com | |

| jones-i am aware the quilceda is available in the retail market. my comment was more of a general one.
tj-zachy's is also an auction house. if you read the small type, many auction houses note that they reserve the right to buy your wines you put up for auction. obviously, they pay no buyers commission. also, at these auctions the trade is usually major buyers. currently, supply is greater than demand when it comes to fine wine. it is a buyers market, not a sellers market. people who speculated in the fine wine market may be unloading wine to meet other commitments.
