While visiting the winery last month I inquired as to whether they had received my request to be added to their mailing list. Last night when I got home there was a message on my answering machine from Rochioli. The lady said that I was added to their waiting list in April and then chuckled, yes checkled, as she told me I have at least a six year wait before I get any single vineyard Pinot. She cracked me up! too bad it's so true.

Bah. I guess I didn't make this mailer... Winery said class of 99 just got added to entry level allocations, so 2000 is next. 6 years is a LITTLE bit of an exaggeration :-)

Rochioli sends out their mailers in waves (in order of your standing on their list) over a fairly long period of time. So not having received a mailer yet doesn't mean much, esp if you're on the bubble cuz I don't believe they've begun sending out the 'intro to list' mailers yet.

Now if only I knew more (aka something) about how they rank/order their list...

For those of you that like Rochioli - had a 2002 Estate last night (entry level for them).
