| lcc, the small bottles were deliberately exempted from the guarantee. Those are first come, first served. Everything else is not only guaranteed until the end of the month she'll actually extend that at your request. | | | Joe-----Wine is like potato chips around me...if it's open, it's gone. | |

| My 375 allocation started at 6 bottles, was down to 4 when I placed the order, and 3 were ultimately confirmed and charged. While disappointed, at least they offer the format. In todays times, I'd think that wineries could have a better opportunity to retain their customer base (and margins) as discretionary income diminishes by offering more bottles in a smaller format. | | | |

| Seeing your post David I went and checked my confirmation email. Fortunately for me I was confirmed for all 6 bottles. | | | Joe-----Wine is like potato chips around me...if it's open, it's gone. | |

| That's what I thought. The 375s don't interest me anyway. I may ask for an extention actually. | | | |

| Got an email last week giving me the extra 375's I had requested. Took me to and slightly above the original allocation. | | | |

| I asked for an extension & she said OK. I said that I will order mid Nov as the mailers this month were a killer. She is great! A must buy for me, but not this month. Next month, I can pull it off.
She will reply to you. Try again if not.

| I asked for *some* 375s, while maxing out the rest of my order. I won't be happy if I don't get any. | | | |

| I suspect they are having difficulty selling all their wine this year. | | | |

| I don't think so, Randy, that's not it. I talked to her. Still a waiting list of 2K+ she says. And, she told me that she will not do allocations to waiting list people until early Jan. The mailer did say on it to let them know if you would like an extension. But, you may be right. | | | |

| Placed an order today, my allocation still there with the extension. And, shipping is $5/bottle. How is it that they can charge $5/bottle to ship to the same state (NY) that others charge $12-$20?!? That’s 1 big reason I am dropping mailers left-&-right, like yesterday’s news. I refuse to pay over $10/bottle to ship with very, very few exceptions.
For example, Colgin wanted to charge me $20/per, that’s $20/per or may be even more than that, I don’t remember now. My life is no emptier w/o that Colgin order. As matter of fact, my bank acc is more full. DROPPED this mailer like a hot potato!

Unfortunately, this is today's world....wineries are similar to most other interstate businesses that intentionally inflate shipping costs to improve the bottom line....IMO, the worst part is how most businesses justify this profitability mark-up as simply "handling" costs........which is of course valid to a point.......but can still be a tough pill to swallow when other businesses in the same geographic region charge actual or close to.
Match is a perfect example of a business using shipping to their advantage......as we all know, Randy ships for free with purchases 6 bottles or more! Is there any better way ensure repeat business plus brand loyalty?

| That's why my cut off is $10/per. More than that to ship per bottle, I won't bite. | | | |
