| That's the wonderful thing about auctions. Many think that the KB's suck, but some of them still go for high prices at auction, although the prices seem to be dropping. | | | |

the home vineyard in 2004 was labeled "San Francisco Bay" which i thought was interesting... i was offered the Home then but not now. looks like somebody paid up big time at auction for an 04 Home vineyard ($241???) wow. i have a couple of Family farms from 04 but i haven't tasted those either.
Wait...how recent was this auction?? I have two bottles of Home Vineyard and from talking with those that have tried them they suck.....major brett....so if I can unload them at over $200/bottle......
Please advise. I've never sold wine at auction, but I'm ready! I also have three Family Farms if those are going for anything decent. Word is the entire vintage is brett city! Chris All i was looking at was the WineBid ttm average auction price on cellartracker. I don't know how accurate that is and i didn't follow it to see when it was. for all i know it was one bottle and one person really wanted it. who knows what the market will really pay for it...

I've tasted these wines on MANY occasions, in barrel and in bottle.
The 2004 Family Farm has a small bit of Brett in it (nothing serious as far as I'm concerned) The 2004 Home has never exhibited any Brett.
I would question "those who have tried them".

Chris Chris, what TTT said. You might want to try these before proclaiming these "brett city". I don't have a horse in this race but it may be precipitous to judge them this way. That said I have had some with the CO2 and don't care for that in $50 wines (the cost to get them in my door). This has been present in about 1/2 of the wines I've opened.

| What would CO2 in any price wine bother you? Just give it time in the cellar or time in a decanter and problem gone - not sure what price has to do with it? | | | 2008: the end of an error | |

Maybe it's just in my brain at that point. You're right, price doesn't matter. I don't care for it in $15 wines either.

| I've been passing for a few releases as I bought one release and the couple of Alesia Syrah Chileno I opened were flawed (my guess is VA) to the point of being undrinkable. I have some Alesia Sonatera Pinot. I guess I should give it a try before I hit delete on the Rhys email. | | | Randy Sloan<br>Match Vineyards | |

| I think that all the Alesia Syrahs are awful. My advice to them would be to just not make a Syrah and concentrate on Pinot. -Dave- | | | |
