That's one of the reasons that we eat at home so much. My cellar is better than 98% of the restaurants in the Dallas-Fort Worth area and the cost per bottle is roughly 1/3 of most lists in the area. Do you offer BYOB? If not, what's the corkage fee?

| If anyone would like to pass their allocation on to me, I would really appreciate it. I am on the list, but not yet high enough for purchase. I would also pay for your time & trouble as well (and send the $$$ first).

| Nor for me...I bought in the spring, but there is not enough for us supplicants in the fall...we wait and hope...
Thanks to you guys who don't want the whole allocation and leave some on the table...that helps us move up in the ranking! :-)

| I have moved up to the wish list. I guess this is progress. I wonder if everyone will be able to afford those huge allocations this year? | | | |

| Certainly not me. Based on what I've read on various wine forums, I have a feeling that Kosta Browne is on the verge of pricing themselves out of a LOT of people's comfort zones. Their 06 SVDs are 40% more expensive than their 04s. In this economy, that sucks! My role model for pricing is Mark Neal, who hasn't had a price increase since his initial 1998 vintage.
I wish KB luck, but they're not going to get a 50 bottle order from me like they did last year. It'll be more like 10-12, and, if it wasn't for the 4-Barrel I'll be offered, it might be closer to 6.

| Of course, they will cut you off at the knees for that 10-12 bottle order, but c'est la vie. | | | |

| Don't know how large my allocation will be, but mine will be available. Too much wine. | | | |

| It's really amazing how excited this board was for the SVD releases last year.........is it simply KB's price increases that are scaring all of you away? Maybe the bad economy? Combination?
Just a 180 from where all the "Leaguer's" were in 2007...........

| Well, I'll be buying my allocation. If I'm allocated 50+ bottles I'll likely share some with a few friends, but I'll still be taking all that is offered.

| I've offered a few friends to share this year's allocation. NO ONE has taken me up on it. For me, it's all about significant price increases in a bad economy. As I've mentioned elsewhere, 3 bottles of AP Vin Kanzler costs less than 2 bottles of KB, and the AP Vin ias a damn good wine. Do the math. | | | |

| This is my first year on the single vineyard list. I've been waiting a long time. But still, the price tag is high and I still have to convince my wife that we "need" to buy these. Tough sell right now. I'll likely by a few. I'll see what I'm offered and then decide. -Dave- | | | |

| I was curious what price I've paid for other single vineyard wines in the $60+ range and found the following producers:
Sea Smoke Littorai - (at least 7 sv) Merry Edwards ($60)
