| I'm stumped by the fact that I've ordered every bottle of this wine for the last four years but have never been offered a mag. But looking at your comments about the mag pricing maybe that is a good thing.

| Offered & ordered, with some extra. What the heck. It beats investing in the stock market. | | | |

| 3/3/2 all in. The mailer did not contain the Parker reviews and scores. I wonder why.... | | | |

| Parker first scored it 92-94, then lowered it to 89-91. His review:
The 2005 Proprietary Red Lucia Abreu Vineyard seems to have closed down
since I tasted it last year even though it is still not in bottle. A
blend of 47% Merlot, 29% Cabernet Sauvignon, and the rest Cabernet
Franc, the wine has a dense ruby/purple color, wonderful purity, but
jagged tannins and some austerity kept my score from going any higher.
It exhibits more texture than last year, but I suspect I caught it on a
bad day, and I will reevaluate it in 12 months.
I have faith in Mark Aubert. It will be curious what he does with Bryant

I'll do you one better. I have purchased every bottle since February 2003 and have never gotten a mag. (Like you, I don't think I mind the slight.) I think the mags are made exclusively for DavidN! | | | Beta testing a new signature.

| You guys are absolutely right. I'm curious to try a $150 89 point Merlot. Really. No kidding.
I think that I will get my money's worth putting this in comparative tastings with Rombauer merlot or maybe Whitehall Lane...and seeing which wins. Is it a smackdown contender? You bet!!!
I love Mark's wines, and honestly I cannot think of anything he makes getting such a low score. But then it is 4 year old vines. I was a little disappointed with the drinking window though. Do I have to drink these up in 3 years? They said until 2012...

| I ended up passing completely on this one, which means another mailer down. Between this one and Kosta Browne that's a big step since I used to buy heavily from each. | | | |

| In contrast, I purchased my 6+6+2 allocation and must have wishlisted for more. As a result, I was granted another PN, one PN magnum and another Lucia red - not quite sure that was the right move. | | | |

| Passing wasn't the right move either, but I missed the deadline. Looks like I'll be able to stay on after all. | | | |
