| He just bottled 2 weeks ago. I think he was waiting on TNs from Ed Kurtzman before he sent out his mailer. | | | |

My main issue now is no money.
That's what will happen when you buy 40000+ cases of '05 Burgundy ...
Well, that was my downfall! In my defense, a vintage of the century in Burgundy only comes around every 4 years or so.

| More mailers: Brogan... Marston... Behrens & Hitchcock...
Not surprising I have too much wine. Soon I'll be receiving shipments of orders (Kistler, Saxum, etc) and I have no idea where to put it all. Of course, the kistler is primarily for other folks.

| Actually B&H is still around, but a much smaller offering than in the past. Unfortunately I've already recycled the offering or I would fill in the details. Anyone else? | | | |

| More offerings: Seavey 2005 Cabernet - $95/750, RMP score 95+ (Only a dollar per point, a veritable bargain these days!). Contemplating a couple bottles that will be ready in 2025; that is the only downside to Seavey.
Clos mimi petite rousse - $25/750. I don't like this wine, so easy to pass.

| Like minded on the Seavey. Its the last of the Fall mailers for me so I will probably be in for the sense of closure. I've been picking off some early 90's seavey off Brentwood so I actually get to drink some this decade :)

| man, the offers keep coming... Shafer: Merlot & Relentless. Great wines, but unless I buy at the winery (to avoid shipping) there is no reason to buy via mailer; the wine is usually available at many wine stores, commonly less than cost.
Hundred Acre sent a reminder that my offer is ticking away. I'll jump on it as soon as the lottery picks my numbers.
Hourglass is getting ready with a new offering. That one will require some thought... the 2001 Hourglass was an incredible wine, similar in many ways to the 1995 Araujo. and that is not a comparison lightly made.
Oh, a reminder about Big Basin... they have an open house this Saturday noon to 5. I would love to go, except someone that I have never met nor have any interest in meeting is getting married, so I have to go to that. Oh joy.
Another winery that is probably not on anyone's radar.. Garric Cellars announces the release of their 2006 Cabernet. Made by Pam Starr, who has some admirable wines. Unfortunately, at $75/bottle, I won't be trying this one.
Oh, and the final winery I heard from this week... Scholium. From the school of "let's be random", with wines that have unpronounceable names, with unknown varietals. I've had one scholium project wine that was outstanding, one that was laughably bad (at an offline no one could drink it, even after everyone was drunk), and several that were.... strange. Buying from scholium may get you an awesome wine. Or it might get you something undrinkable. There is no way to tell beforehand.

I tasted both of those at Shafer a couple weeks ago and I wasn't wowed by either of them. I prefered the 2003 and 2004 Relentless over the current release and the Merlot was so so. The wine to get (other then the Hillside) is the 2005 1.5 Cab. That was showing very well! -Dave-

| Chasseur has now released its Vineyard Pinots (Blank, Freestone and Umino). With "Pinot Club" membership, these are $54 each. Not cheap, but I find that these are every bit as good as most Pinots that everyone here fawns over for $14 more per bottle. And in most instances, they are better. | | | Beta testing a new signature. | |

I tried the Freestone at Family Winemakers for the first time and enjoyed it. But, the price was discouraging. | | TN posted on Cellartracker"

| Mailer from Hundred Acre for their 2006 "Ark" Cabernet. That's an easy pass.
Several wineries sending out "reminders", such as Loring, Core, and another I can't recall at the moment.

| I've recently discovered B & H. They are a bargain on the flip. I've purchased several ready to drink bottles for a fraction of release. I haven't been disappointed yet, but I am comparing them to what I could buy for the same dollars. | | | |

| Just got a letter from Erna Schein - the Behrens Family. Four wines offered - Knockout, Everything but the kitchen sink, Spare Me, and Cemetery. Prices are not absurd, but I still have too much wine.
I received a "Please come back" email from Vinfolio... 10% off all wines with a maximum discount of $1000. Sounds like they need to move merchandise.

Too right. And we haven't even started to see the full impact on retail as a whole.

| Question, anyone know what's going on with Lewelling? I believe I received the 2005 offer in early Oct. of 2007 - Did I miss the 2006 offer??? | | | |

| RandyW, this isn't that hard. I looked back over the entire thread and there is only one mailer listed (SQN) that I would buy wine from, and they won't sell me any wine. I might agonize a bit over Schrader, but that's about it. Just say no. | | | |

According to a post over on eBob the 2006 offer will be electronic, and they are running a little late as a result. | | | 2008: the end of an error
