I came home for lunch and saw this in the mail. Good to see that demand in still high in the EU and Asia!

Just checked: the last Estate I bought was the 02 vintage. I paid $250. Now, it has doubled in price.

The radioactive symbol on this thread is cracking me up for no apparent reason.

This is really bad news for those with verticals they wish to keep intact.

No eBob ratings on the 06 Harlan. Clearly the mailer/retail price has reached full bore; the 04 is going in the 500 range, the 03 is in the $350 range. Unless he hits 100RMP again, this is the top of the price curve.

This is just a nominal increase for a good, but not 100 point vintage. In 07, jumping to $750 is not out of the question.

I was surprised to get this offer.  I stopped buying after the 2003 vintage.  They still have me as a "premier" mailing list member - which means that I can order a guarenteed allocation of 6 bottles and 3 mags.  I still sort of regret falling off this list - but it's too expensive.  $6300 + tax and shipping.  My wife put it this way - would you rather go skiing in luxury for 2 weeks or have a case of wine.  Easy decision!  I have to toss this one.

I'm not so sure, especially with the economy where it is.  Let's see what happens next year!

In my past experience with the Maidens, the answer is no.

Pricing is uncalled for. Pass here after 10 straight years of buying.

shaferguy, do you remember what Harlan was priced at when you first purchased 10 years ago? Just curious, thanks.
