I am happy to buy a Cabernet from a producer with a track record for making wines that can age.  I just hope that this will be true for this wine and the recent vintages of the QC cab.  I am afraid that many of sought after new producers (pick em for cabs, Kosta Browne, Saxum, etc.) are producing wines that need age and yet can't age.

Anyone that has a couple of bottles each to share would be appreciated.

Prefer SoCal - San Diego area.

Don't ship to ND since I'm their only customer. Guess if I ship it to friends to Minneapolis, it's a good excuse to head down for an offline!! Decisions, decisions.

Right now I'm leaning heavily against ordering. Just wrote a check for a little over $4,000.00 for tuition for my youngest plus upcoming books, parking fee, etc... Between that and Italy looming on the horizon in October it's beginning to look like ALL mailers this Fall will get jetisoned with the lone exception of SQN. Let the chips fall where they may.

I received the online offer today (or yesterday?) and decided to wait for the January release.

WOW, Red Wine is sold out. That was quick. So much for allocations.

WOW, Red Wine is sold out.
Certainly that made it an easy decision.

Note to wineries: No guaranteed allotment --} First come, first serve is an easy way to lose customers. C'est la vie.

If it sold out that quickly, I don't think they are worrying!!

No shipping to CT, and sold out before I could figure out an alternative arrangement. Thanks, QC. You saved me $500 today.

I bought the Galitzine. I had no interest in the Red Wine anyway. The mailer did say 1st come 1st served. Many vins do that now.

Bought the red and passed on the Galitzine, although I just checked and my 4 are still available...Love QC but I guess I'm not the only one being more cautious about $100 wines.  Since most were offered up to 24 Reds (bought 12, which I'll drink as a great moderately priced cab) they could easily cut back the "allocations" and make the wine available to a few more people.

I really don't think they anticipated the red selling out so quickly... but it IS a great deal at $35 a bottle. I think davidandrose had the right idea... buy the Red and skip the Galitzine.

If they allocated me X Cab and X Red and sold out and have none for me less than 24 after opening for business they can kiss my lily white a$$ in the Spring as well. They'll eventually reap what they sow.

I guess they've made it an easy pass for me.  That's fine.  I'm tapped out and got yet another mailer today - the MacPhail.
