| As much as I like them....this mailer came at exactly the wrong time...and I'm going to have to pass. During tax time I had a chance to closely review my credit card transactions over the last year. I need to make some cuts....I simply can't keep adding wine lists without deleting others.
We're really starting to lean more towards Syrah these days....and to be able to buy more Syrah, I need to cut some Pinot. Sad but true!

| Chris -- Welcome to the dark side! Syrah is my current favorite, as it seems "undiscovered", and according to winegeek and others, there is a glut of good syrah available because most consumers have not discovered it yet. | | | |

| Anybody know what happened to the Sonoma Coast offering? I thought it was supposed to be released in Fall 2008. We're gettin' pretty close to winter here... Tim
p.s. I'll send them an email and see what they say. | | | |

| At Family Winemakers (August), Paul mentioned that they were debating about whether they would release in the fall or hold until the sping, as they thought it was shutting down. However, it was showing well at the venue which was making them rethink waiting until spring. | | TN posted on Cellartracker"

| I have tasted the '06 Sonoma Coast twice and liked it both times. Nice wine. But priced at $65?? I wish them well and hope they sell out but I'll choose to load up on the Sandler Sonoma Coast PN at half that price. | | | |

| And $23 to ship 1 to 3 bottles to CA? Yikes.

| I like the folks...really...but I don't "$65/bottle" like them. I will only pay that kind of money for KB, Rochioli, Williams Selyem and Sea Smoke. Oh well, I like it when wineries make it easy to say no.

| I'm going to buy a few bottles and cut back elsewhere. We really liked this and the 2007's at their open house. I'm starting to get in the mode of only supporting wineries where you like the people or you have some sort of personal connection to. I'm not quite there yet... but I'm working on it! And yes, I'm a little shocked at the price. -Dave- | | | |

| The wines were good but not good enough to support the pricing. | | | |

| At that price, I could not close out the order form fast enough. It has to be a tough time now to roll out an unknown/new Sonoma in this market. | | | |

This has been my philosophy all along. This is why I corner the market on Ed Kurtzman (I believe I'm his largest customer) and Michael Browne wines. It's also a problem...because these winemakers are such easy guys to become friends with that I have more winery friends than I can buy wine, so it comes down to cutting those I just don't know as well. Even after making cuts this year, I still buy more wine than I consume....and I consume a lot!

| It's hard not to buy from a wine maker you've met and like. That's one reason I like to NOT meet wine makers. It's easier to pass and be guilt free when you're lost in the crowd. | | TN posted on Cellartracker"
