| It's barely Monday, but they're open for business! I just placed my order for 12 bottles and 1 mag, the max that I was allotted. I left the Merlot for others. | | | Cheers, y'all | |

| I didn't realize that you had to order in multiples of 6, dammit. I 'only' wanted 9 bottles plus 2 mags, but I was forced to buy 12. | | | |

| Question for those who have ordered -
After you clicked "checkout" did you then get another page saying the order had gone through? or an email? It didn't seem like my order went through. arg.

| Figured WineCommune was my only option, just hate dealing with shipping, etc. Given it appears to work a lot like eBay, would also irritate me that I might lose $5 or $10 because I have no feedback. Will figure something out.
Faxing in my Shane order now :-D

| Thanks Stemor and Budman, for some reason it just isn't working for me.
Edited to add:
I called QC and they said their server was getting swamped by orders so that could be the problem. They placed the order for me.
Rumor on the Parker board is that the Merlot is already sold out.

| My pet peeve: they charged sales tax on the shipping total as well. | | | |

| They didn't charge me for shipping to Colorado. Doesn't Washington and California have some reciprocal sales tax deal on wine? | | | |

| IIRC last year they charged California residents sales tax for the first time. But I have never had shipping taxed before by anyone. | | | |

| If anyone in Western WA not taking their full amount of offered wine, I would be interested in buying the remaining. Thank You, Eric Gig Harbor, WA | | | |

| Well I bit on 6 750s...couldn't manage the freight on the mag - even though I fully appreciate its ability to appreciate as it were.
Popped my first 01 on Saturday (still working on the 99s..)...was delicious...but so were several Cali Cabs we popped that cost somewhat less (01 Mondavi Oakville and 05 Stags Leap Artemis). I like QC - but not as much at $100+ and not when there really still are many nice Cabs in the sub $60 range...
BTW - I got my confirmation and was also charged tax.

| Just for the heck of it, I logged back into the QC order page. Under the cabernet 750 mL, it says "you have no remaining quantities allocated to you", but under the merlot and the cab magnum, it says "No Longer Available".
Looks like the merlot (as previously reported) and the magnums are sold out. I wouldn't expect the cabernet 750 mL to be available come the end of the week either.

| I hope the cab is still available, I'm in on the second wave...
And that's definitely bad news about the mags, this is the first time I was offered one...
Oh well. | | | |
