It arrived today.

PN Sonoma Coast Hellenthal Vnyd PN $50
PN RRV Vinters Reserve $45
PN Sonoma Coast Balletto Vnyd $40
PN RRV Oehlman Vnyd $37
PN RRV Olivet Lane Vnyd $37
RRV Zin $27

Mags at twice the cost of the 750s, but not avail for the Zin.

Shipping to here on the east coast, $6.50 a bottle 2 day air, at least 12 bottles.

I'll buy some, but not the full allocation of 12/12/12/12/12/6

I tried their wines for the first time last year and I've been buying some recently at auction. I'm thinking of picking some up off the mailer. It's great juice.

This couple make a wonderful Pinot. I didn't buy any this past year and have it penciled in on my "drop" list. It sure is tempting though.

IMHO, the Olivet is the best $37 bottle that I get offered via mailer. Most single vineyard stuff starts at $44 and goes up from there. I will buy as much Olivet as my cellar will hold, and then see what else I have room for.

I just got an e-mail from WesMar entitled WesMar Fall "Stimulus" offering.  Buy 6 bottles of the 2006 Pinot Noirs and get a bottle of their 2006 Pinot Noir Sur Lees free.  Buy 12 bottles and get three bottles of the Sur Lees free.  The Sur Lees bottling is comprised of a small amount of each separate barrel from the vintage.  apparently they have never offered if for sale in the past.

The wines offered are:

Salzgerber Vineyard    $45
Sonoma Coast Balletto Vineyard    $40
RRV Oehlman Vineyard     $37
Sonoma Coast    $30
Russian River Valley   $30

With so many producers getting ready to release the 2007 Pinots via mailer soon, it seems like a bad use of limited funds to load up on more 2006s right now. Unless, of course, one is rolling in dough and does not have to allocate wine funds wisely. And if that is the case, God Bless!  That said, I will note that the SC and RR bottlings are being offered at $5 less than they sold for when the mailer went out last winter. Those wines are hard to beat for $30/bottle.

Actually, I passed on the WesMars last year, so maybe buying some of the SC and RRVs would not be too bad.

One of my favorite gripes... no ground shipping to the East Coast. They want $8 per bottle to ship East.
That makes the price a bit less favorable, and I agree with JimmyV. The first wave of 07s is upon us.
We barrel tasted the 07 KB, Kutch, Peay and AP Vin. They are all on my 'gotta buy' list for 07.

I did not get an email although I did buy the 05 and 06 releases. I also paid $5 higher for the RR and SC  :(

If you call or e-mail, they may be able to arrange for Ground Shipping. They did that for me last Spring.

tanglenet:  I didn't get the e-mail either and I, too ordered last Spring. Though they may be going out in waves.

I received there Fall Stimulus Offering.  Free Sur lees pinot with the purchase of 6 & 12 bottles.  I noticed the RRV & Sonoma Coast are up $5 to $35.  Still a good value.  Has any one tried the Sur Lees?
