| I used to swear by the Gin Martini, after all it that was the original.
Lately though, I have been finding myself breaking out the Kettle One and Grey Goose more and more.
Even though I still call myself a gin guy, I think the Goose is starting to win me over.
Any good Martini variations out there?
I like three parts Vodka one part Grand Marnier - very tasty

| I also had this conversation with Stealthman last night over dinner. My preference is always Belvedere and I like it slightly dirty with 2 olives. | | | "Everyday is worthy of a glass of sparkling wine" - Andrea Immer MS | |

| Personally I prefer Branvin to Grey Goose, in my Martini's. Straight up, one shake with a twist of lemon zest. | | | |

| you might try the Precis vodka. Jeff Smith (who also owns Hourglass) is using winemaking techniques to reduce the amount of impurities that would otherwise have to be filtered.

| Welcome to Vinocellar, Bob!
For the record, I'm a fan of Belvedere (haven't tried Goose yet...).

| Alway's been a grey goose fan but recently switched to Chopin. Pure potato vodka in my mind's eye is the way to go. Very dry with a little "dirty" and two olives.
As a side note if anyone is a Mash fan. Watching Hawkeye describe a dry martini in just about every episode is priceless. | | | "It's better to have your enemies inside the tent pissing out, then outside the tent pissing in." -- Lyndon Johnson

| I'll take tanq ten also but I do like it with a little vermouth. Mine turns in to a Gibson 'cause I like it with cocktail onions... and as many as I can get! | | | |

| david - what does a cocktail onion taste like? Since I like olives so much I have never gone the onion route... | | | |

| Gordons! If it's good enough for the Queen's mum (she did last to 101) then it's good enough for me. | | | |

| I want my martini so dry I can feel sand in my teeth. Goose does it best for me. I'll have two olives, thank you. When I'm drinking these....to heck with the diet. | | | |

| You know what a extra dry martini has in common with golf clubs?
With the martini you put the iced gin in you glass and pass it over the top of a sealed bottle of vermouth.
I think my titanium golf clubs were made the same way. They made the clubs, put them in a truck and drove down the highway past the titanium factory.
