| Stealth,
You've obviously not had ENOUGH tequila if you're still single. It's the drink that causes you go to go Tijuana and marry a fellow drunk American female that you just met in the bar (nice Mexican women wouldn't be caught dead in one of those gringo places). You come home with a ring on the finger and no memory of how it got there, a stranger in your bed and no clue as to her name.
THAT'S Tequila! | | | |

| On another note, I have a good story to tell at the next offline that involves me, a nice male neighbor, a pool, pizza delivered poolside, a little igloo cooler with some ice, limes, and what was a new bottle and became an empty bottle I got in Mexico.
A brown bottle with a round, bulbous shape, and short neck. The name of the tequila had "Oro" and "Anejo" in it, but that's all I remember.
It was the SMOOTHEST tequila I've ever had. We drank the WHOLE bottle between the two of us sitting next to that pool. Started at 2pm in the afternoon, ended at 2am. I had one of the worst sunburns in my life. But no hangover! None. Felt fine the next day, except for seeing my neighbor in bed, fully clothed, next to me.

| I've always been amused at how a lot of people describe very good tequila to me....."it doesn't even taste like tequila". 'Nuf said! | | | |

| Slightly related tequila /mezcal story involving myself and three friends. It was our last year at school together before we all disappeared off to do our "careers" etc. I was the only one staying in NZ. ONe of my mates his father was a diplomat to the UN and had got a 4 litre bottle of Mezcal at Nigels request (my friend.). At this age we didn't know the differance between Tequila and Mezcal. We grabbed a big bag of lemons, a large bage of salt and went down to the beach. (we were at Nigels folk's holiday house down on the Coromandel- heres a link to Paunaui ) Pauanui Picture It was our second to last day in NZ altogether, so we were going down to say goodbye really. We sat down on the beach, taking big swigs out of this 4 litre bottle, biting lemons licking salt etc.. Anyway we are sitting around when one of my mates said " Jeez its really cold." So we lit a fire naturally. Continuing on, Nigle looked up -" Jeez look at the moon!!" It seemed to fill half the sky!! It was amazing. We then realised that the ocean was looking great. So we all stood up, took our clothes off and went for a swim. Unbeknownst to us, the fire went out, and we couldn't find our clothes. We lookede aorund for a while, gave up and went back to the house. Waking up what we thought was the next day (unbeknownst to us we had slept through a whole day- they all missed their planes!!) and wandered down to the beach to find our clothes before leaving. The whole beach was pointing or laughing at us. Confused we wandered back to the house with our clothes. As we got back a negihbour who was also laughing said" Did you enjoy your skinny dip on Monday!" We were of coarse a bit perplexed. " What are you talking about?" Nigel asked. He laughed even louder."You didn't hide it too much." The neighbour said. Noting our confused faces and comments he went on." On Monday you guys went down to the beach about and started drinking, right?" We all agreed. " Then at two in the afternoon you lit a fire." At this pooint we realised things were going down hill. " Then for soime strange reason you stood up about three o'clovk, took your clothes off , starkers you were, and ran down into the surf." We were closing our eyes in embarrasement at this stage." Oh that wasn't the bad part. You guys finished your swim and then wandered all over the beach starkers, looking for something....." We felt about 3 inches tall at this point. | | | |

| Good story, Jeremy.
I always get funnier when I drink Tequila. And braver, smarter, prettier, etc. It's seductive stuff.
Really good tequila is such a rarity in the US that people say "it doesn't taste like tequila" when they have the good stuff. Good tequila is fruity, smooth, and very nice.

| It's not easy to find good tequila on the east coast. Cabo Wabo is good, but a little pricey for the quality. Sauza Generations Anjo is not bad if you can't find the really good stuff. WS had a good article in a recent issue. Bad tequila burns your tounge, good tequila warms your chest My favorite non traditional margarita 1 1/2 ounce Tequila 1 1/2 ounce Mexican Brandy 1/2 ounce triple sec 3 ounces margrita mix (trust me) 1 ounce real Lime juice Shake, serve on rocks in a salted glass | | | |

| funny, my first post on a wine board is directed toward a question on Tequilia. I would have to say favorites include El Tesoro Anejo and Chinaco Reposado. No need to sully either of these beauties with sour, limes or salt, just pour, sip and enjoy! | | | |

| Ode to Jose the curse of Cuervo, So hard to say no though it gives one the fever, Pretends to be friendly, Then it's all over, over, It's all over, over, Pretends to be fine, Then the curse of Tequila,
It makes me happy, Con Tequila it feels fine, Con Tequila when the doors are opened, And con Tequila when they're calling time, That's the curse of,
Sierra sunrise and Margarita, They'll break your heart in the desert heat, Tell you you're thirsty, They'll tell you you're sober, sober, It's all over, over, They'll tell you you're fine, Then the curse of Tequila....
If there's a lot on your mind it's there to help you forget, To relax and rewind and leave behind the regret, First sip makes you well before you know it it's time, And you're saying to hell with the salt, lemon and lime, Salt, lemon and lime, time Tequila,
That's the curse of Tequila.....

| Nibblin' on sponge cake Watchin' the sun bake All of those tourists covered in oil Strummin' my six-string On my front porch swing Smell those shrimp hey they're beginnin' to boil
Wasted away again in Margaritaville Searching for my lost shaker of salt Some people claim that there's a woman to blame But I know it's nobody's fault
I don't know the reason I stayed here all season Nothin' to show but this brand new tattoo But it's a real beauty A Mexican cutie How it got here I haven't a clue
I blew out my flip-flop Stepped on a pop-top Broke my leg twice I had to limp on back home But there's booze in the blender And soon it will render That frozen concoction that helps me hang on Hang on

This guy walks into a bar, orders 10 shots of Cuervo. Slams all 10 in about 30 seconds. The bartender asks "Are you alright? Why are you drinking so fast?" The guy responds, "Because I only have fifty cents."
