| Well, this was recommended by ol' RMP himself, giving it 100 points. It's a current release, and I've seen suggestions that it is the "1929" Wink Wink Nod Nod.
More than likely, I would think it was a blend of cognacs, some as old as 1929. I wish they would just lable it with a vintage if that is so. I remember Pierre Ferrand Lot 45...but I digress.
This is good stuff, if expensive. Medium weight, but concentrated...with wonderful caramel, tangerine peel, walnut and oak flavors, full in the mouth, with a medium long finish. Absolutely wonderful balance, and more complex than the usual cognacs at this level. Worth a try if you come across it. | | |
