I think I found a good one in the 2000 vintage. Maybe the elevation helped drain some of the rain and get a few more rays of sunlight...

Clear green-yellow-gold color (depending on the angle...very interesting). Heavy minerally, kerosene, and slate smells along with light green apple and steel. Just a touch of smoke as it warmed. The taste was of complimentary mineral, kerosene, and green apples. There was a touch of citrus, and "rainy day" flavors with an oily finish on the 2nd day. This wine was light to medium bodied with very good sugar/acid balance. The finish was medium to long. I'll give it 88-90 points. Drink it now or wait 10 years.
8% Alcohol...just the way I like it!

There are indeed some good 2000s. I would not keep them for any length of time though. Virtually all of them have a danger of turning a corner in a bad way. Leave one in the fridge open for a couple of days if you want to know what I mean. They get varnishy.
