| A remarkably fresh, fruity nose belies the age of this beauty. Suductive aromas of soft fruits, grapefruit, and very light petrol nuances. In the mouth this is thick and viscous, moderately sweet, offering wonderful complexity. I know folks are generally split on aging Rieslings, well count my vote for aging - the complexity these wines pick up is amazing. 92 points, drink now-2008. | | | 2008: the end of an error |

| Good info. Glad to hear about the fresh nose. 20 year old spatlese from a good producer and good vineyard (although WS's BS overrated GH for 2001). J.J. Prums do age better than most other rieslings, so I have to factor that in as well. | | | |

| In my experience, the 1983's aged better than any other year I've had much experience with. | | | |
