This was my white wine contribution at Thanksgiving.

We started off with 1990 JJ Cristoffel Urziger Wurzgarten Riesling Spatlese, which is from my current favorite vintage. We will see how the 2001's flesh out, and I have high hopes for them. The hue was a nice yellow and not yet golden, but offered a really nice secondary nose of light petrol and graham cracker. A sensory delight to savor as most of the guests quickly starting drinking the wine, as I was initially content to enjoy the nose. Ummm...

The flavors consisted of red cherry, graham cracker and earth. Relatively dry on the palate with soft acidity, this wine is fully ready to enjoy. A true crowd pleaser, I wish I had a few more bottles.

Nice note, Claret.

I just acquired a case of '90 Urz Wurz (although it's B. Loosen, mixed Spat & Aus), so I'm very excited to hear about your success and enjoyment on this.
Cheers, y'all

Stemor-Urz Wurz is one of my favorite Mosel vineyards. You made a good buy. I would try a Spatlese now, as the Auslese could probably stand a bit more cellar time, but it is not a crime to taste one now.

1990s from the Benedict Loosen estate should be ready to go. Also, since they have now been moved out of their pristine, dark, cold producer's cellar environment, it is unlikely they will develop as the '75s or '83s did.
