Check out the site below to find out the walkscore of your home.  Mine scores an 82 meaning I live in a very walkable neighborhood where it is possible to live without a car.

Ours is a 91. Good thing they don't discount for crime.

I scored a 78, but they are missing a grocery store that's three blocks away, and a Library that is 1/4 mile away. I could live without a car if it wasn't for beer deliveries and picking up supplies.

I live in the hills so 28. LOL. It would be more if they counted deer as road kill. Sometimes I wish it was otherwise but the views are worth it.

Interesting, entertaining exercise.
The score for my house in a nice neighborhood is 65.
The score for my work in a crummy neighborhood near LAX is 69.
Just goes to show that some important criteria are not being considered.

My house got a 42 - not walkable, but it is, after all, the answer to the great question of life, the universe, and everything!!!!!
