Random Error Messages
Feedback ID: 50Status: Closed
Product: ForumsImplemented? Yes
Created On: 3/29/2007Created By: Winetex
Details: On all of my computers (running Firefox and Maxthon browsers) I am receiving random errors messages every few minutes when I access a post.

Usually these are posts from the old forum but that's probably not the issue.

The error is "VinoCellar Forum is currently unavailable". If I then click on Wine Forums I'm back with no problem.

and to add insult to injury, it then forgets what the last read post was.

Yes, that is really ticking me off in the very long threads.

Is this the error related to search?

By admin @ 4/11/2007
Mostly... but seemingly its worse now and not always related to search.
I'll get to the bottom of it. I want to update to the latest "core" first... that'll be tomorrow. Then I'll dive into it. I have a server issue I'm working on that might be related.

FIXED!!!! Thank goodness.... this was related to search, but the problem has been solved. If this "forum unavailable" keeps happening, seemingly at random, please open a new Feedback ticket. This particular problem was related to indexing the search in the database... a scheduled job that wasn't running very well at all.
