Details: New posts don't show who the poster is replying to. For threads such as "What Are You Drinking", this is a useful tool, as often times, a poster is replying to an inquiry made by someone many posts prior in the thread. Loss of this feature could result in a lot of non-sequitors, or worse yet, a lot of unnecessary quoting of prior posts to show what you are responding to. I hate forums where quoting past posts is overused.

Are you talking about threaded, versus unthreaded views?

By JIMMYV @ 3/13/2007
Not sure I follow the question. If I click on the "reply" button within someone else's post, under the old system, my post would indicate that it was a reply to that particular poster. Now, nothing gets shown, so we don't know who is replying to whom. Is there some option regarding "threaded" versus "unthreaded"? I am not familiar with that term, or option.

The functionality you are talking about unfortunately can't be done in these forums. I won't be able to implement it. Sorry for the inconvenience!

Well....dang. That was useful.
